About the Film

Shaun is a man sleepwalking through his own life. His girlfriend Liz has had enough, his mum keeps calling, and his best mate Ed is a lovable disaster permanently welded to the couch. When a zombie apocalypse descends on London, Shaun finally finds his purpose: rescue his loved ones and hole up at the Winchester, their local pub, until everything blows over.

Our Review

Edgar Wright does not just make a zombie comedy. He makes a film about how we are all already zombies, shuffling through routines on autopilot, and then asks what happens when actual zombies show up and the metaphor becomes literal.

Final Verdict

Shaun of the Dead sits at 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and we are giving it 94%. This is the gold standard for horror comedy.
